Family Law Practice and Education

Jamie Anne Epstein is an experienced family law attorney who has dedicated her career to helping families through difficult and deeply personal legal matters. For more than a decade, she has practiced family law throughout southeastern Wisconsin, representing clients in divorce, paternity, legal separation, child custody and placement, guardianship and related matters. That breadth of work has shown her that every family’s circumstances call for a different path forward. Jamie earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School and is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She has also contributed to public education on family law issues, including child custody and placement.

Advocating for Children and Families

Jamie has also served as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for children’s best interests in custody and placement disputes. That work shapes how she approaches every case, because family law decisions reach well beyond the two parties. Before joining Renier Hotopp, she founded and ran her own Milwaukee firm, Jamie Epstein Law, which the Wisconsin Law Journal recognized in October 2024 as an In the Lead: Best Women-Led Law Firm.
